NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 15, 2011 – TriStar Health System has signed a five-year contract with Radiology Alliance to be its exclusive market-wide radiology provider for inpatient and outpatient services at TriStar’s eight Middle Tennessee hospitals effective Sept. 1, 2011.

Radiology Alliance, the state’s largest radiology practice, currently serves as the provider at five TriStar hospitals – Centennial, Summit, Stonecrest, Southern Hills and Ashland City. Under the new contract Radiology Alliance will add Skyline, Hendersonville and Horizon.

“TriStar has decided to contract with a single provider to provide a more consistent and seamless radiology service at each of our area facilities,” said Larry Kloess, president of the TriStar Health System. “Radiology Alliance has more than 60 years of experience in the Middle Tennessee market and unmatched expertise in the region in the subspecialty areas of interventional radiology, musculoskeletal imaging, neuroradiology, oncology imaging and women’s imaging.”

Radiology Alliance has 54 diagnostic and interventional radiologists, all board certified by the American Board of Radiology. The group has a long record of pioneering new technologies, including a partnership with Tennessee Oncology to launch the first PET/CT in Tennessee and starting the first bilateral breast MRI services in the state.

“We are delighted to become the exclusive partner for radiology services by expanding an already strong relationship with TriStar Health System,” said Keith Radecic, CEO of Radiology Alliance. “We share their commitment to excellence and look forward to this expanded relationship which affords us an opportunity to grow both our inpatient and outpatient services.”
