Gregory R. Weaver, MD, FACR
Dr. Weaver received his Bachelor of Science in Physics with high distinction and his medical degree from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. His diagnostic radiology residency was performed at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, where he was Chief Resident from 1984-1985. This was followed by an imaging fellowship in nuclear medicine and magnetic resonance imaging at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Board certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1985, he received a Certificate of Special Competence in Nuclear Radiology in 1986. He is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology and the American College of Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Weaver is a member of many radiological societies, including the Society of Nuclear Medicine, Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology, American College of Nuclear Medicine, and Academy of Molecular Imaging. His areas of professional interest include nuclear medicine and diagnostic radiology. Outside of work, Dr. Weaver's hobbies include building traditional dry stack stone walls and playing the trumpet. He raises American chestnut trees in his orchard as part of the species restoration work of The American Chestnut Foundation.
